Musical Theater Camp - teaches the art of acting through practical experience. Campers learn how to audition, what it means to be a character and how to portray that character through dialog, body language, and song. Basic vocal technique and dance are also included.
Camp ends with a full musical theater production of Lion King JR with full costumes, makeup and a show website with actors photos and a program featuring each actor. The shows will be the June 20th and 21st.
A cast and crew party will be held on the last Friday (June 21st) after lunch.

TECHNICAL THEATER -- Learn the back of the house skills -- then use them during a live show!!
Costuming & Props -- See what it takes to put together a costume panel and Prop Table for a Musical. Learn how the costuming adds to the story telling of the show and how the Props create or enhance a scene. Then watch how it all works in the Production of Lion King Jr.
Entertainment Publicity -- Develop a show website, create a Playbill, take photos of cast, interview and write bios of the cast, learn how to write a press release and more. Show website will go live to sell tickets to Lion King JR.
Stage Management -- What happens back stage? Learn all the tricks of the trade, from managing actors and props, moving sets, control curtains and create special effects -- then work a live show on Thursday & Friday Nights.
Lights and Sound -- Learn how to create a lighting plan, program lights, and control the panel during a live show. Sound techs will create tech sheets, control sound - from music to microphones on a professional sound board. Work a live tech booth at two shows.
July 22-26 9am-3pm
Ages 5-10 $325
Tell the story of family through song and dialogue. Learn some of your favorite Encanto songs, to enhance the story. Go fully costumed on stage on Friday night for a show that will bring the audience to tears. This camp is geared to students 5-10 years old of all levels. Campers stay on Friday til show time at 5PM. There will be a cast pizza party between 3-5pm.
June 24-28 9am-12pm
Ages 6-13 $175
This camp is perfect for serious, aspiring performers, as well as for kids who just want a super-fun, creative outlet - a place to discover and gain solid skills that will serve them on stage and off. This educational and dynamic camp develops the confidence and abilities every performer needs to be successful!· 16 Bars Vocal Session – Students will learn the art of choosing the right song to bring to an audition. They will work on diction, tonality, and timing – and of course, they will to bring the “magic” on stage through performance training.· Broadway Dance - Whether you’re an absolute beginner or experienced performer, we have a fun & challenging broadway dance section that is perfect for you. In just one week, you'll learn the style of Broadway greats like Bob Fosse and Jerome Robbins while developing your performance technique and facial expression.· Acting in Musicals – learn the fundamentals of acting applied to musical theatre Learn: script, score and character analysis and acting styles in the musical theater. Practice personalizing your performance by turning rehearsal into performance.
Breakout sessions focus on the 3 major performance disciplines-Acting, Singing and Dancing. Through these sessions campers develop the necessary skills for practical application in life and on the stage
June 24-28 1-5pm
Ages 6-10 $225
There once was a camp for children who loved to act, sing and dance to Disney Broadway favorites. Children at this camp will spend a week in the Magical Land of Disney style musical theater. They will work on acting, creative movement, dialogue, and songs from their favorite Disney movies . . . Aladdin, Frozen, Little Mermaid, and more.
On Friday, they will perform on stage in their own show at 5:30 pm.
June 24-28 1-5pm
Ages 9-15 $225
Master the art of live stage performance by bringing your skills to life on stage in a Musical Review. Spend a week preparing a non-stop high kicking show dancing and singing to all your Broadway favorites -- songs from Wicked, Hamilton, and the Greatest Showman. Each day of this camp you will learn a new song & dance and by Friday night, you will be dazzling the stage in this Broadway Extravaganza at 5:30pm.
Campers that register for two camps on the same day may stay at the theater for lunch.

Campers should wear t-shirts and dance pants or shorts and full shoes (no sandals or flip-flops) or dance shoes. Skorts are also acceptable.
Campers should bring their own lunch.
A Snack Bar with drinks, cookies, chips, etc will be available at breaks and lunch. All items 50 cents to $2.00
